A consignment of life studies by artist David Adrian 'Andy' Jones 1936 - 2010 to be sold in our August Antique Sale and Mid Century Sale.

Adrian Jones was an artist and teacher, born in Crosshands South Wales who settled in Bedford in the early 1960s. He studied at Swansea School of Art.
He taught art at Harpur Central from 1962 and Pilgrim School from 1964, as well as working temporarily in a number of other schools in Bedford. After retiring from teaching he worked as a technician at Mander College and taught figure drawing in evening classes.
He was well known in Bedford, having taught generations of Bedfordians, and supported many to excel in art, gaining places at prestigious art schools and progressing to careers as artists and art educators.
Throughout his life he painted. He explored a range of subjects but always returned to the nude, often exhibiting.
