An 1821 pattern light cavalry presentation sword, the bladed etched: 'Presented to Captain Chetwynd by the non-commissioned officers and privates of the 1st troop. W.Y.C as a token of their gratitude and respect. August 21st 1839'. The blade also etched with VR cypher and various other motifs, marked 'Reeves and Greaves Manufacturers' above the hilt.
