Winter Auction Sale of Vintage & Modern Wines & Spirits
Our Winter Sale in now catalogued and online.
We are pleased to offer a lot of quality winter drinking as well as Collectables in this sale.
We start with Whisky and Spirits. There are a number of rarities and older bottlings for the collectors from a few different Whisky collections as well as some to drink. We have Ceramic decanters, limited Editions, older and younger bottlings and also many fine XO and other Cognacs, Armagnacs, Calvados, Gin and exotic spirits, over 100 lots this time.
As the weather cools, so the thoughts change to savouring an evening glass of Port (or two) and we have a great selection of Vintage and other fine Ports to choose from with lots from single bottles up to wooden cases of 12! We have examples from Vintages in 1920, 1934, 1948, 1960, 1963, 1964, 1966, 1967, 1969, 1970, 1972, 1975, 1977, 1980, 1983, 1985, 1989, 1999 & 2001, over 50 lots and dessert wines too. The Oldest Vintage in the Sale however goes to a bottle of Christopher’s Bual 1878 Madeira! Aptly there is a fine decanting cradle in the sale to help with the sediment.
In this Sale, from a deceased estate, we have a collection of Cigars with 4 humidors, accessories and well over 700 assorted cigars including Cuban and mostly larger sizes with some dating back to 1990.
The Champagnes are not so numerous but we still have some vintage Dom Perignon & Moet. However there is a wide range of other liqueurs and cocktail drinks to distract you.
We have our best range of top quality Clarets to date this time from a number of cellars with fine examples from Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Latour, Cheval Blanc, Talbot, Palmer, Clarke, Smith Haut Lafitte, Lagrange, Angludet and more. From further afield there are a number of wines from Tuscany, Rioja, and Australian Penfold’s Grange and many more for you to browse at different price brackets down to more everday wines from house clearances etc.
There are some collections of Miniatures and Ales including a Bass Prince of Wales 1929 Brew and a Queen’s Ale from 1962 for the brave or the collector.
See you at the Sale!
