Following retirement of the owner of Borley Brothers Engineering Ltd, a longstanding local independent engineering firm.

Borley Brothers Engineering have been offering a wide range of services and products for over 60 years, from design to manufacture, fabrication to installation. They grew to become one of the East of England’s leading independent engineering companies, known by organisations locally, nationally, and internationally. Their clients include household names within the aviation and healthcare sectors, as well as an array of local firms who trusted their reputation to deliver fabrication and metalwork of the highest quality.

This is a timed auction with online bidding only, available through the auction platforms found via the 'Timed Online' button near the top of the page.

Prospective buyers will need to register via the relevant platform for online bidding.

A buyers’ premium at 17.5% plus VAT, will be added to the bid price of each lot.

Lots purchased online also attract a platform fee of 3% plus VAT.

All lots in this sale with attract VAT at 20% except those lots specifically marked ‘No VAT’ at the start of the description.

Items not collected by this time will be treated as abandoned and disposed of as the auctioneer sees fit. A forklift is available on site, however dismantling, loading and removal is the responsibility of the buyer. All lots are at the buyer’s risk from the fall of the hammer.

 

We do not offer shipping on this auction.

If not collecting yourself please ensure that your courier can adhere to the collection dates/times; are able to collect lots in the condition they are pictured; and are provided with all relevant details and copy invoices in order to be able to collect on your behalf.

On successful purchase of items at auction, payment of your invoice should be made via any of the following accepted methods of payment as per our terms:

• Cash
• Debit card (in person at one of our main auction centres – not available onsite)
• Direct bank transfer (details on invoice)

Note: We do not accept any form of credit card payment or any type of card payment over the telephone.

Attention is drawn to the Auctioneers Conditions of Sale. In particular, it is emphasised that all accounts must be settled on the day of sale. Please always remember that the lots purchased are at your own risk from the fall of the hammer, it is therefore in your own interest to get everything paid and collected as soon as possible.

In completing the online bidder registration and providing your payment card details you:

(i) confirm that you are authorised to provide these credit card details to the auctioneer and have sufficient funds available to complete the transaction.

(ii) agree to abide by the auctioneer’s conditions of sale and special terms and conditions as stated in these particulars and on the online bidding platform.

(iii) agree to make payment via the methods and timescales stated above at the completion of the auction and authorise the auctioneer that on failing to do so the credit/debit card given may be charged in part or full payment, including all fees, for items successfully purchased.

ITEMS MUST BE PAID AND CLEARED BY 4PM SATURDAY FOLLOWING THE SALE.

Per our terms, items not collected will be automatically re-entered in the following sale or regarded as abandoned, and disposed of by the auctioneers, both of which are subject to standard charges.

Purchasers are reminded that the dismantling, loading and removal of all lots is their responsibility and that all lots are at the buyer's risk from the fall of the hammer.
