The Vendor has included a letter explaining the story behind this bottle. In short, Oban have only done 2 private bottlings, this one and one Presented to Princess Anne by the RLNI to commemorate the launching of the Oban Lifeboat. Diageo now own the distillery which is regarded as 1 of the 6 Classic Malts and it is thought that this will not be repeated
